Dierbergs Fenton Crossing, Fenton, Missouri

This is one of the few centers in Missouri that has a sustainable Wetland
Preservation on it. Working with the Missouri Department of Conservation,
Sansone Group found that by preserving this natural feature of the property would ensure that the surrounding properties would not be adversely
affected by a change in the environment. In addition, with the demolition of
an existing building, there was asbestos removal and the steel from the
structure was salvaged. Sansone Group was awarded the Missouri Treescape Award in March of 2003 from the Missouri Department of Conservation and
State Forester "For Improving Missouri Communities Through Tree Planting".

Buzz Westfall Plaza on the Boulevard
Completed September 2007
This was the site of a former mall that had fallen into total disrepair. We
demolished the mall, removed the asbestos, salvaged the steel, crushed
the masonry and used it for fill, removed the gas tanks from the gas station and a few others we found, removed the underground lifts from the
auto repair and removed the bad soil around the tanks and lifts. This is a
sustainable project where every effort to use green building techniques
was applied. In addition to the retail portion, a 52,000 square foot office
building was built through the Brownsfield Redevelopment/Clean Up Act
with the State of Missouri.

Brentwood Promenade, Brentwood, Missouri
Completed January 1997
This pioneer development was the first open air center for the City of Brentwood. In response to a Request For Proposal, the City selected Sansone Group to develop this blighted area. Populated with Civil War-era homes that were run down and dilapidated, demolition and cleanup began to remove lead paint and asbestos. Over 2,000 trees were planted at the center and Sansone Group received the Governor's Treescape Award, the highest award given by the state for environmental enhancement. Extensive landscape and water features were added to make the center a showcase for the City of Brentwood as well as the entire St. Louis area because of its high visibility to Interstate 64 & I-170.
